If there is no Pokemon in front of you, an attacking animation, similar to the default move found in the previous games, will activate, and this will count as using a turn. If it is an enemy Pokemon an offensive move will be used, and if it is a friendly Pokemon a buffing or healing move will be used. The selected move depends on the Pokemon in front of you. This move has now been removed in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX and instead a move will automatically be selected when you press the 'A' button. The previous Mystery Dungeon games featured a default move that uses no resources such as PP. In the Demo, you can come across both Minun and Plusle in Thunderwave Cave, but in the original games you could only catch Plusle in Red Rescue Team and Minun in Blue Rescue Team. Since Rescue Team DX is a remake that combines both Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team and Blue Rescue Team, all the Pokemon that were previously version exclusive seem to appear normally in the Dungeons.
